Set your controls first
From the main menu, open Settings → Game Settings for Passing Type, pass lead, catch assistance, switch assistance and the kicking control scheme.
Reviewed for the July 16 title update
Build a realistic College Football 27 Dynasty without pausing five videos or reconciling stale forum screenshots. Pick a play style, then copy, check off, export, print, or share one coherent setup.
Interactive setup
Choose a complete preset, then edit any value. A star marks the settings with the biggest impact. Menu names can vary slightly by platform and future patches.
The builder distinguishes official game behavior, current community testing and personal preference. It does not claim that one slider set guarantees realistic stats for every skill level.
The short version
This is the recommended starting point, not a magic final answer. Your snap count, skill level and league age decide the last 10%.
Where to enter the values
These paths cover PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A future title update may move a label, so use the exact setting name in the builder when the order differs.
From the main menu, open Settings → Game Settings for Passing Type, pass lead, catch assistance, switch assistance and the kicking control scheme.
Inside your save, use Dynasty Central → League Settings for difficulty, clock, Coach XP, recruiting, transfers, automation and wear and tear.
Use Dynasty Central → League Sliders for position XP, User and CPU gameplay, special teams, game options and penalties. Check off each row as you enter it.
Import check
Community slider testers report that imports from the main menu can miss or alter some pass-coverage and penalty values. Even if you import a set, compare it with the checklist inside Dynasty before playing your calibration games.
Why this page is different
The current search results are split between videos, forum images and articles that solve only one piece of Dynasty. This page makes the complete job usable in one place.
Coach XP uses EA’s current Career, Simulation and Casual names, not the legacy Faster/Slow/Slowest wording still visible in some current guides.
Official behavior, community-tested tuning and personal taste are not presented as if they carry the same certainty.
Check values while entering them in game, copy a plain-text set, export a spreadsheet, print a clean checklist or share a custom link.
Patch alert
EA’s July 16 update made Career 1.0× the Coach XP default, added Simulation 1.25× and Casual 1.5×, improved CPU recruiting and raised offseason player progression. EA also said another recruiting and progression update is planned.
That is why 250% is the balanced player-XP default here and 300% is a named longevity option. Recheck season-wide player ratings after every major Dynasty patch instead of treating any launch number as permanent.
Two-game calibration
Play two complete games against one similar team and one stronger team. Change one family of sliders at a time, then retest.
Change quarter length by one minute. Keep accelerated clock on. Use the minimum play clock only for smaller timing adjustments.
Lower User QB Accuracy by 3, then User WR Catching by 2. Do not raise CPU coverage and lower User accuracy in the same test.
Raise CPU QB Accuracy by 2–3 or CPU Run Blocking by 3. Check opponent ratings and weather before assuming the slider is wrong.
Lower tackle and sack impact by 5, or raise week-to-week recovery by 5. Keep injuries on so roster depth still matters.
Keep league XP fair. Turn auto progression on or increase the manual progression penalty before lowering every position’s XP.
Check conference averages, unsigned recruits and 90+ OVR counts. Move XP toward 300% and transfer volume down before disabling the portal entirely.
Long-term decisions
These are system-level choices. Their effects can take seasons to appear, so a single game is not a valid test.
| Choice | Best for | Benefit | Cost / risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250% XP, K/P 100% | Balanced offline saves | Raises position growth without jumping directly to the cap. | Some weaker CPU programs may still trend down deep into a save. |
| 300% XP, K/P 100% | Seven-season and online leagues | More players reach useful ratings and ability thresholds. | Can widen the gap between elite and weak programs; manual users can become overpowered. |
| Portal on, 12 / 27 / 27 | Modern realism | Preserves the portal while limiting roster churn. | Some transfer players may still go unsigned, depending on tuning. |
| Portal off | Roster-preservation experiments | Community tests report fewer high-rated recruits disappearing. | Removes a defining part of current college football and changes team-building strategy. |
Optional realism layer
Use these only if the game becomes easy because of user decision advantages rather than on-field tuning.
Limit blue-chip targets until your school’s prestige and recruiting results justify them.
Stop scouting every player to completion; accept uncertainty like a real staff.
Take realistic coordinator and head-coach steps instead of waiting only for a dream school.
Let player archetypes develop naturally rather than spending every point on optimal attributes.
Do not fill every non-conference week with easy home games; play a credible program schedule.
Track conference strength, 90+ OVR counts and unsigned recruits before changing league-wide rules.
Method and sources
We compare official behavior with recent editorial and community testing. Community findings remain observations, not controlled scientific experiments.

Questions players ask
Start with All-American, 11-minute quarters, accelerated clock on at 17 seconds, Simulation Coach XP, a 12-player transfer cap with 27% User and CPU transfer chance, and 250% player XP except K/P at 100%. Then calibrate after two complete games.
Use 250% as a balanced default. Use 300% when long-term CPU roster strength is the priority. Keep kicker and punter XP at 100%, use auto player progression, and review the distribution after a simulated season.
EA now defines Career as 1.0×, Simulation as 1.25× and Casual as 1.5×. Simulation is the balanced recommendation. Career is the intended slow, long-term Blueprint experience and the new default.
Keep it on for the primary setup. A portal-off save may preserve more high-rated recruits, but it removes a major feature and changes modern roster building. Try 12 max transfers and 27%/27% chances first.
Begin at 11 minutes with accelerated clock on and a 17-second minimum play clock. Target roughly 55–70 offensive snaps per team and adjust quarter length by one minute, not several sliders at once.
All-American is easier to tune around ratings and program quality. Heisman is appropriate when experienced users can consistently beat stronger teams; the Tough Rebuild preset supplies that option.

No. Dynasty Lab 27 is independent and fan-made. Official game behavior, community-tested values and tune-to-taste choices are labeled separately. EA SPORTS and College Football 27 are marks of their respective owners.
They are designed for the shared College Football 27 Dynasty menus on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Menu order or a label may differ slightly by platform or title update, so verify imported values inside the save.
v1.0 — July 29, 2026: Initial launch. Reviewed the exact Google US SERP and related realism, XP, transfer, wear-and-tear, Coach XP, slider and house-rule searches. Baseline reflects EA’s July 16 update and community material published through July 29.
Major Dynasty patches trigger a label, progression and recruiting recheck. Minor preference changes are recorded only after they repeat across multiple credible tests.
